Our Process

The Philadelphia Woodworking Company is proud to offer our clients a uniquely flexible approach to design and build projects. We provide the resources to deliver efficiently on any scale, along with exemplary customer service and a solutions-oriented methodology. We couple modern technologies with traditional practices for all of your custom woodworking needs.

We’ve found that the most successful projects utilize collaborative teams, which include the client, a specialty contractor like ourselves, and a designer, architect, and/or builder. Design professionals play a pivotal role in executing custom projects by transforming thoughts and ideas into actionable items.

If you have not yet enlisted the services of a design professional, we can either recommend a trusted industry partner, or if appropriate, provide design services directly. If you’d like to engage us for design services, we will ask you to provide some important information to help guide the design and estimating process, such as:

• An overall description of the scope of the project;
• Photos of the work site, with approximate dimensions;
• Concept photos that represent the type and/or style of project that you are imagining;
• Your location;
• Your budget range;
• Any finish, material or other specifications that you may have.

Whether you are working with The Philadelphia Woodworking Company through a designer or builder, or collaborating with us directly, we always produce detailed shop drawings for your approval.
